Learning a language should be fun, and it doesn’t always have to involve textbooks, teachers and real-life classes.
There are many creative ways to learn the Romanian language.
Here are four fun ideas on how you can learn on your own.
Travels to Romanian speaking countries such as Romania and the Republic of Moldova!
If your time or professional situation does not allow you to travel to Romania or the Republic of Moldova, look in your current circle of friends or among Romanian -speaking co-workers. With them, you can communicate, practice or even learn Romanian faster. In addition, there are many friendly people eager to socialize and make new friends.
Read books!
If you are looking for a way to learn Romanian and practice a hobby, why not start reading your favourite books translated into Romanian. Many people I helped learn Romanian have implemented this method, and it works great!
One of them is my hard-working student, Balthasar, who is proud of his collection of books in Romanian that he, of course, has read. And I am proud of the ambitious students who use all options to master a foreign language.
Therefore, it is a better option than children’s books written by Romanian authors.
The reason? Books translated into Romanian have a language closer to the general everyday language. The translators do not use difficult words and terms. For those who learn Romanian as a foreign language is easy to read this kind of book.
Take a virtual tour of online stores in Romania.
Each category has subcategories and the products, in turn, have descriptions, and you can learn by deduction method because the products also have photos. It is a much more practical option than flashcards. Many people have tried this method and were delighted with the results.
It’s worth a try!
